What We Can Explore Together in Therapy
People seek therapy for many reasons—overwhelm, trauma, grief, cultural stressors, or a sense of losing connection to themselves. My hope is to offer a grounded, compassionate space where we can explore what’s happening at a pace that feels safe and manageable.
A large part of my work is supporting the nervous system, helping clients build a sense of internal safety, and approaching difficult experiences with care and curiosity. I work somatically, relationally, and with cultural attunement, knowing that healing is unique for each person.
Below are some of the experiences that you may be seeking therapy for.
Anxiety
Anxiety can show up in many ways—racing thoughts, worry, tension, irritability, or physical sensations like a racing heart or tightness in the body. Some people feel “on edge” or experience panic, while others feel persistent low-grade worry that never seems to let up.
In therapy, I help clients explore the underlying causes of anxiety while working with the body, emotions, and nervous system. Together, we learn ways to notice, regulate, and work with anxious sensations in a gentle, supportive way.
Depression
Depression can feel like a heavy weight, low energy, numbness, hopelessness, or difficulty finding joy in things that used to feel meaningful. It can affect sleep, motivation, relationships, and your sense of self.
I support clients in understanding how depression shows up in their mind, body, and nervous system. Together, we create a safe space to explore emotions, rebuild connection, and develop coping strategies tailored to your experience.
Trauma Healing
I support people working through acute and developmental trauma, chronic stress, and experiences that feel overwhelming or stuck in the body. We take time to grow your capacity and explore what the body is holding. In this process, we may find incomplete protective responses that need to be completed, and residual energy that needs to be discharged. This is explored slowly through the containment and safety of the therapeutic relationship.
Grief and Loss
Grief can touch every part of life—the emotional, relational, physical, and spiritual. Whether you’re navigating a recent loss, anticipatory grief, or long-standing sorrow, therapy can offer a place to for grief to be met and felt at your pace.
Cultural Identity and Stress
For many, identity, belonging, and cultural expectations shape how we move through the world. I support clients navigating acculturation stress, cultural pressures, family dynamics, and questions of who they are within complex cultural contexts. Your cultural story is not something to “fix”—it can also be a source of strength, clarity, and identity.
For Clients Who Aren’t Sure Where They Fit
Your experience may not fit neatly into one category. Many people come in describing a mix of experiences —anxiety, numbness, confusion, or ongoing stress. That’s completely okay. Together, we’ll explore what feels most supportive for where you are.
A big part of therapy is not just what we work on, but how we work together. If you’d like to get a sense of my style, and approach, you can read more here.
If you’re feeling curious about beginning therapy or wondering whether we might be a good fit, I’d be honored to connect. You’re welcome to reach out with any questions or to schedule a consultation.
