Workshop Upcoming – Using Asana, Pranayama & Drishti to Prepare for Mindfulness Meditation
I am so excited to be offering this workshop coming up on August 25th. Mindfulness meditation has been such an important and life changing part of my personal practice and I am thankful to have the opportunity to share this practice with others. We will discuss the nature of the mind, specifically what mindfulness meditation is and where it falls in the context of meditation in general. I hope to move students through a very slow flow, contemplative style of practice with meditation integrated, all leading up to a full seated meditation. Come to learn how to use the beautiful tools of yoga to move towards the deeper parts of who you are and your experience exactly as it is. I hope to see you there!

Vinyasa to Meditation: Using Asana, Pranayama & Drishti to Prepare for Mindfulness Meditation – August 25, 2-4:30pm
Have you been curious about what mindfulness meditation is, how you can incorporate it into your practice and how it can affect your life? Join us in this workshop from 2:00-4:30pm and explore the nature of the mind. We will talk about what mindfulness meditation is and strategies on building a practice. Through a slow, contemplative practice we will learn how to use asana, pranayama and drishti to energetically prepare body and mind for seated meditation. Through meditation we will cultivate the ability to sit in our experience exactly as it is.
Class will include lecture and discussion, as well as Hatha-flow and meditation practice. Appropriate for all levels (including beginners).
