Allowing Myself to Lose My Ground

I have found that remaining soft in my intentions and engaged within my journey has helped me to remain more fluid within my experience.  Often times we become rigid – rigid in our ideas, in our expectations or even in our goals.  This sense of rigidity or needing to hold onto something so strongly shadows our ability to remain open.  Understanding the impermanence of things can be intimidating, but once you fully accept this notion, it is quite liberating.  So allowing myself to let go of things that I hold closely, whether it is a thought, an emotion or something much more tangible,  makes me most vulnerable, most groundless.  But that very experience also allows me to be more open, more accepting, more free.  Sometimes we are just holding onto things to feel secure, to somehow circumvent change, even when change or at least being open to change is what’s needed most.
